The Civil Rights Office ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies for USDA customers and employees regardless of race, color, national origin, sex ( including gender identity and expression), religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital or familial status, political beliefs, parental status, or protected genetic information.
The Civil Rights Office ensures compliance with applicable federal civil rights laws such as:

- OCFO Training Save the Date – January 16th
- Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
- Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
- The Age Discrimination Act of 1975
- Employee Rights under the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §§ 4151--57) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. § 794d)
