Continuing Professional Education Credits

The Financial Management & Payroll Summit is an opportunity to learn from leaders and subject matter experts from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s Financial Management Services and National Finance Center. Attendees can earn continuing professional education credits (CPEs) through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). Information related to credits and pre-requisites for each session will be provided in the registration portal.

12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m. Sales Order Overview - Reimbursible Order Life Cycle This group live training will provide experienced users with a high-level overview of the sales order process including an emphasis on the 6 steps of the reimbursable order life cycle. The class will cover several SO types, FMMI guidance, and tips and tricks for smooth processing based on user experiences. 12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m. BOC The class will provide guidance on the proper use of BOCs by outlining the relationship between BOCs and OMB's Circular A-11 object classes. 1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. Working Capital Fund Overview The presentation is a basic overview of the Working Capital Fund. What is a working capital fund? How does it operate? What are its benefits? We discuss our mission & vision, service categories, organizational structure, activity centers, financial activity, and more. 1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. Internal Controls, Audits, and the Annual Financial Report This presentation provides an overview of internal controls as governed by laws and regulations, an overview of the remediation of Government Accountability Office and Office of the Inspector General, and the required reporting of such in the annual Agency Financial Report. 2:30 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. System for Award Management (SAM.gov) Overview System for Award Management: an overview of site functionality covering financial assistance program listings, entity to validation, and other entity data to be reviewed prior to making awards. 2:30 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. Financial Services Division Overview In this session, you will hear about the various services provided to USDA agencies by the OCFO-FMS-Financial Services Division. Subject matter experts will provide more detailed information on three specific services areas within the organization: IPAC/INTR processing, certification and disbursements, and 1099 processing. 3:30 p.m. – 4:20 p.m. Overview and Use of the SF-133 This session will provide a brief background of the SF-133 and demonstrate how to use BOBJ queries, report on Budget Execution and Budgetary Resources, and Treasury reference material to identify root causes of problems within the SF-133. 3:30 p.m. – 4:20 p.m. FIET (S4 HANA) This presentation will provide an overview of the FMMI Intelligent Enterprise Transformation (FIET) project. Topics will include why modernization is needed, how current systems will change as part of the transformation, and how these changes will benefit end users.	12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m. NFC Overview This presentation provides an introduction to NFC. The session will cover NFC services, notable achievements, and takes an in-depth look at the integrated suite of applications that comprise the Payroll/Processing System (PPS) and the biweekly processing cycle. Topics will include the Employee Personal Page (EPP), auditing, processing tips, IRIS dictionary, escalations, customer user acceptance testing (CUAT), Administrative Billings and Collections (ABCO), and PINE. 1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. NFC BSM ServiceNow Then & Now! This session includes a review of our transformation of ServiceNow, latest Process Improvements implemented, some quick navigation hints or shortcuts, how to report issues with NFC’s ServiceNow application, listing of ServiceDesk quick reference guides and the NOW future. Join us as we Introduce new Modules and some key features for our Agency customers. 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Office Hours 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Publications Library Redesign This live demonstration of the newly redesigned NFC System Documentation Library will provide an overview of the new organization of the library content into system-specific pages that provide a one-stop shop for all of your research requirements. Join us to learn how to access documentation, communications, and training quickly and easily maximizing the benefit of all the information available on the NFC Web site from one system-centric page. 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Auditing Join Supervisory Auditor Susan Le from NFC's Internal Audit and Compliance Group for an overview of the examinations and reviews required for service organizations and how the results may be used to develop complementary controls at user organizations. 3:40 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. NFC Contact Center Help Desk This session presents an overview of NFC's two main help desks: the NFC Contact Center and Operations Security Center, specialize in so attendees have a better understanding of who to contact at NFC for assistance.
