HRPAY 21-04, Drug Test Field

Summary

Modifications have been made to EmpowHR, the Front-End System Interface (FESI), and the Position Management System Online (PMSO) to include additional valid values for the Drug Test and DRUG-Ts fields.

Modified to accept the use of V (Volunteer) and F (Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulated) as valid values for the Drug Test (Applicable) field on the Add/Update Position Info page - Specific Information tab under the Position Management component.

FESI

Modified Doc-Type 2056 (PMSO-Individual-Record) to accept these valid values:

  • V (Volunteer)
  • F (FAA regulated)

PMSO

Modified to accept the use of V (Volunteer) and F (FAA regulated) as valid values in the DRUG-Ts field on the Add Individual Position screen.

Implementation

EmpowHR

The Drug Test field has been updated on the Position Information page - Specific Information tab to include the following new values:

FESI

The FESI File Layout for PMSO has been updated to include Doc-Type 2056, to accept the newly added valid values V (Volunteer) and F (FAA regulated).

Agencies with their own front-end systems may require modifications for this change.

PMSO

Agencies will be responsible for updating all active individual positions with the correct information for the Drug-Ts field.

The Drug-Ts field is located on the Add a Position screen. The Drug-Ts field has been updated on the Add Individual Position screen to accept the following new values:

The procedure manuals for these applications, which are available online at the NFC Web site, have been updated to include the information in this bulletin. To view these procedures, select HR and Payroll Clients from the MyNFC drop-down menu on the NFC Home page. At the HR and Payroll Clients page, select the Publications tab and select the applicable category to access the procedure manuals within the category.
