TA 22-04, Remote Work Transaction Descriptor

Summary
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has provided an update to the 2021 Guide to Telework and Remote Work in the Federal Government. As a result, the National Finance Center (NFC) has created a new Transaction Descriptor (TD) 39, Remote Work, which can be utilized by all Agencies that have designated positions as remote.

Implementation
The following NFC-hosted time and attendance (T&A) applications have been modified to allow for the recording of Remote Work using TD 39:
- webTA 3.8
- Paycheck8
- STAR
The following NFC-hosted time and attendance (T&A) applications will be modified to allow for the recording of Remote Work using TD 39:
- webTA 4.2
- webTA 5.0
Agencies with their own T&A front-end applications must make the necessary modifications and/or coordinate with their vendors to be able to utilize TD 39 to allow for the recording of Remote Work.
Agencies will determine an employee's Remote Work designation.
