Summary

The process to issue corrections to the current year Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, begins in February for W-2s needing corrections. This process continues throughout the year on an as-needed basis. Instructions are listed below for submitting a request for an IRS Form W-2c, Corrected Wage and Tax Statement.

Implementation

The corrected W-2 process starts with the submission of a request for the adjustment through Web-based Special Payroll Processing System (SPPS Web). The following information should be considered when requesting a W-2c:

Employees who are not current EPP users (or who need a new user identification (ID) or password) can locate sign-up instructions under My EPP. Log on to the internet and go to the NFC Home Page. Select the HR and Payroll Clients page from the MyNFC drop-down menu and select the MyEPP icon on the HR/Payroll Application Launchpad.

A Quick Reference Card (QRC), which is available online as a reference tool at NFC's Web site, can assist with accessing EPP, user identification availability, and password assistance.
