Modifications to security questions, email address, and password.

Implementation

EPP users will be prompted to review security questions every 6 months. A popup screen with the employee's security questions will appear for the users to verify. After verification, users can select Okay to proceed.

Users will not be allowed to change both their email address and password on the same day. If a change is made on the same day, the following system-generated message will appear: "Your email address and password cannot be changed on the same day, you must wait at least 24 hours before making a change."

Note: Users will not be allowed to reuse the last 24 passwords.

Resources

Employees who are not current EPP users (or who need a new user ID or password) can locate sign-up instructions for MyEPP by logging on to the National Finance Center (NFC) Web site (www.nfc.usda.gov). Select the HR and Payroll Clients page from the MyNFC drop-down menu. On the NFC homepage select the MyEPP icon on the HR/Payroll Application Launchpad, from there select the New User Sign Up option.

The procedure manual for this application, which is available online at the NFC Web site, is being updated to include the information in this bulletin. To view and/or print this procedure, select HR and Payroll Clients from the MyNFC drop-down menu on the NFC homepage. At the HR and Payroll Clients page, select the Publications tab in the center ribbon and from there select the applicable category to access the procedure manual within the category.

A Quick Reference Card (QRC), which is available online as a reference tool at the NFC Web site, can assist with accessing EPP, user identification availability, and password assistance.

Inquiries

For questions about NFC processing, authorized Servicing Personnel Office representatives should contact the NFC Contact Center at 1-855-NFC-4GOV (1-855-632-4468) or via the Internet using the Requester Console.
