REPT 17-03, Unmasking and Masking of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on the Reporting Center (RPCT)

Summary
To enhance the security of the Reporting Center (RPCT), the National Finance Center (NFC) will mask certain data fields that house Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on the Statement of Earnings and Leave report in the Financial Reports category.

All PII will be masked on the Statement of Earnings and Leave. |
Implementation
All PII on the Statement of Earnings and Leave will be masked entirely with asterisks (*) in the Reporting Center when viewing or printing reports. PII data that will be masked consists of the following:
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Bank routing and account numbers for the following:
- Direct Deposit
- Financial Allotment
- Health Savings Account
- Discretionary Allotment
Employees will have the option to unmask PII in the Reporting Center.
