Exception Actions
In the National Finance Center (NFC) Payroll Personnel Processing System (PPS), exception actions are actions containing Nature of Action Codes (NOAC) that are processed at any time without regard to effective dates. They are processed as initial actions even when the last personnel action on the database has an effective date which is later than the action the user is processing. NOACs for exception actions are not part of a history correction package that contain other personnel actions; however, some of the NOACs may be canceled or corrected individually. The table below indicates the NOACs that can be corrected and/or canceled.
Note: New actions documenting these NOACs cannot be inserted in a history correction package.
