HRPAY 17-08, New Personnel Input and Edit System Message for Denver Occupational Privilege Tax Program Changes

Summary

In conjunction with the Denver Occupational Privilege Tax (OPT), a new Personnel Input and Edit System (PINE) message is being added. Edits are also being added to EmpowHR and the Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web) in conjunction with this change.

A new edit is being added to City Tax documents to prevent an entry in the Percent of annual compensation for Services outside of city field when State Code 08 Colorado and City 0600 Denver are entered in the State Code and City fields. When the applicable State Code and City are entered, the Percent of annual compensation for Services outside of city field is grayed out.

PINE

A new error message, 066, City tax percent must be spaces for Denver OPT, is being added to Document Type 150, City/County Income Tax Certificate.

EPIC Web

A new edit is being added to City Tax documents to prevent an entry in the Percent of annual compensation for services performed outside of city when State Code 08 Colorado and City Code 0600 Denver are entered in the State Code and City Code fields. When the applicable State Code and City are entered and the user attempts to enter data in the Percent of annual compensation for services performed outside of city field, the error message, Deduction percent must equal to spaces or zeros, is displayed.
