Effective Pay Period 06, 2015, Agencies will have the ability to change an employee's Service Computation Date (SCD) for retirement without having to change the SCD for leave. This will be done using Document Type 030, Master File Chg.
EmpowHR
EmpowHR users must select the Date-SCD-Retire value to populate in the Field To Be Updated field and enter the new SCD for retirement in the New Date field on the Master File Change page. This date should be entered in the YYMMDD format. This date will be reflected on reports after a subsequent personnel action is entered, and the SCD Retire Date field is updated.
Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC Web)
EPIC Web users must select the Date SCD Retire value to populate the Select a field to be updated* field and enter the new SCD for retirement in the Field Value field on the Master File Change page - Master* tab. This date should be entered in the YYMMDD format. This date will be reflected on reports after a subsequent personnel action is entered, and the SCD Retirement* field is updated.
Front-End System Interface (FESI)
The FESI layout for Document Type 030 will be updated to accept the new field.
Personnel Input and Edit System (PINE)
PINE will be updated to allow the Date-SCD-CSR to be changed within Document Type 030.
Table Management System (TMGT)
TMGT Table 038, Document 30 Update Restrict Table, will be updated in accordance with this change.
Payroll/Personnel Procedures
The procedure manuals for these applications, which are available online at the NFC Web site, are being updated to include the information in this bulletin. To view and/or print these procedures, go to the NFC Home Page and click the Publications tab at the top of the page. At the Publications page's left-hand menu, select the applicable publication category to access the procedure manuals within that category.
