This week’s Retirement Readiness NOW Tip:

September is National Preparedness Month (NPM), sponsored by FEMA’s Ready Campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps. During NPM Americans are encouraged to make sure they are prepared for disasters or emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.

You are encouraged to take these four steps to become prepared for any emergency:

1. Be informed - Local emergency alerts
2. Make a family/personal emergency plan
3. Build an emergency kit
4. Get involved in your local community
